Things To Do In Dallas

Dallas, TX  is one of those places that has just about everything for every type of vacationer traveling to the west. From farmland to city life there are so many fun things to do, see and explore while in Dallas. We’ve put together our list of favorites and must-sees while you’re in town.

Bishop Arts District

This quaint little spot is just outside of downtown Dallas. Here you can find an array of unique shops and eateries to enjoy, some even boasting local artisans! Stop in for chicken and waffles that are out of this world at Oddfellows, grab a pie at Enos Pizza, or grab homemade ice cream at MELT Ice Creams! Some of our favorite shops to check out are Dude, Sweet Chocolate, M’Antiques, and Harkensback.

Magnolia Market at the Silos

About 1-hour outside of Dallas you can find Magnolia Market at the Silos, dreamed up by famous HGTVers Chip and Joanna Gaines! Here you can experience everything Magnolia including the new Silos Baking Co. where you can get THE BEST cupcakes you’ll ever taste. You’ll be able to shop, eat and play during your visit. Protip: if you do decide to visit, weekdays at opening or before close are the least crowded and the best times to visit.

Farmers Market

One of the very best things to do during your stay in Dallas is to check out the Farmers Market! In the heart of the city and surrounded by skyscrapers this little market has been home to many vendors since 1941. Here you can shop for some of the best homegrown produce, dairy, and more daily from 11 am – 7 pm and on Friday from 11 am – 8 pm. Shop, dine and catch live events all at the Dallas Farmers Market!

Klyde Warren Park

Located in the hustle and bustle of downtown Dallas is the very hip Klyde Warren Park. This pet-friendly park is great for a day hanging out and exploring the city of Dallas. They frequently have events like Imagination Playground, fitness boot camps, and summer movie showings. If you get hungry, try one of the local food trucks that stop by or hop on a scooter-for-rent and zip over to one of the many downtown restaurants!

Dallas World Aquarium

Explore the wonders of the ocean at the Dallas World Aquarium. Open daily from 10 am to 5 pm you and your family can explore the exhibits at this one-of-a-kind aquarium. Gaze at the exotic fish, coral reefs, and kelp from Pacific or step into South Africa and feast your eyes on brightly colored birds, reptiles, and more!

AT&T Stadium

Whether you want to check out a concert, monster truck show, Dallas Cowboys game, or just get a tour –the AT&T stadium is definitely something to behold. It is one of the top 5 most expensive stadiums ever built coming in at $1.5 billion dollars. Everything in the stadium is state of the art including their custom-made big screen at 218 feet wide by 96 feet tall. The stadium offers self-guided and VIP tours on non-event days where you’ll even have a chance to walk on the 50-yard line!
