Easy Breakfasts On the Go

Small space, no room, no time. Whatever your problem or excuse, everyone can use a few recipes in their arsenal that are quick, easy, and mess-free when it comes to hectic work weeks and back-to-school. Spend less time in the kitchen and more time together, even if it is jammed between dentist’s appointments and soccer practice.

Here at InTown Suites, we recognize that when it comes to health and nutrition, good intentions can sometimes fall to the wayside when busy schedules and competing priorities surface. So we’ve rounded up a cash of breakfast recipes you can rely on to get you through rushed mornings, fuel you through class and meetings, and save you when you just don’t have the time or energy to cook.

Ditch the cold, sugary cereals for a breakfast worthy of a sit-down, but still perfectly suited for the ol’ grab and go. Making sure you get some healthy fats to fuel you through bleary eyed mornings is of the utmost importance, even if you are rushed. Why not join the hordes of Instagrammers and get hooked on Avocado Toast? Quick, easy, and always tasty, customize your toast with some red chili pepper flakes for a bit of heat or a fried egg for a protein boost.

Transport yourself to a Mediterranean isle with a sweet treat that’s wholly filling and good for you too. This Almond Butter, Yogurt, and Fruit Parfait is the perfect transportable breakfast and easy to prepare the night before. Just pre-chop the fruit of your choice and throw it in a mason jar with yogurt and almond butter—that’s it! Switch it up by swapping out almond butter for any nut/seed butter, jam, or sweetener of your choice.

This next breakfast option will bring back memories of grade school and simpler times. Full of protein, good fats, and fiber, you can’t go wrong with a rudimentary mix of cheese, nuts, and fruit. Keep your servings waistline friendly by selecting 1-2 ounces of your favorite hard cheese, a ¼ cup of brain-stimulating walnuts or nut of your choice, and add a cup of sliced apples, pears, or even whole grapes. The combinations are endless and oh so portable.

Making sure you and your family partake in the most important meal of the day doesn’t have to involve much more than a cutting board and toaster.

From limited time to limited resources, we understand it can be difficult to prioritize healthy choices, especially if you are between moves or in a temporary space. That’s why at InTown Suites, all of our extended stay accommodations come with fully-equipped kitchens to help you save money and feel more at home. It’s just one of the ways we strive to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
