Nashville is a city filled with history, music, and fun! If you’re in town with your family for a vacation or a short weekend you’ll probably need a guide to the city. 1. Learn and Play at the Adventure Science Museum

The Adventure Science Museum is for all ages and combines hands-on learning with almost every branch of science you can think of! This family-friendly spot has over 175 exhibits for you and the kids to explore while getting in some much-needed family time. Tickets are $11.95 for children and $15.95 for adults.

The historic home of Andrew Jackson is a beautifully restored mansion on an over 1,000-acre property. Here you and your family can explore what it was like in the 1800s through each exhibit and original belonging for the Jackson family. Bonus – for those who like a good fright, the Hermitage also features ghost tours! (You could also visit Historic Travellers Rest, the home of Judge John Overton!)

5. Enjoy art in the park at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park

Located in downtown Nashville, the Bicentennial Capitol Mall is a beautiful space to enjoy the open air and have a picnic lunch with your family. After lunch head over to the Parthenon, the amazing life-size Greek replica that serves as Nashville’s Museum of Art. Here you and your family can enjoy Nashville’s huge collection of contemporary American art.

Tennessee is home to the NFL Tennessee Titans and the NHL Nashville Predators. Whether it’s football or hockey, you and your family are sure to enjoy an exciting sporting event at one of the two Nashville arenas: Bridgestone Arena and Nissan Stadium.
