Midvale started out as a small mining town, but now the city is largely residential and home to 30,000 people. You can learn about the city’s mining history at the Midvale Museum. If you are visiting Midvale in the summer, spend a day visiting the “This Is the Place Heritage Park,” which offers pony rides, and a petting zoo. You can learn about the pioneers who settled in Midvale and even pan for gold! In winter, skiers flock to the Snowbird Ski Resort. If you’re flying into Midvale, the Salt Lake City International Airport is only 12 miles away. To visit downtown Salt Lake City, head north on Interstate 15.
