Nashville Zoo at Grassmere

Nashville Zoo GiraffeNashville Zoo is one of the newer and most exciting zoos in the United States. With over 2,700 animals and 365 species, we at Intown Suites Nashville highly recommend this as a must-see!

Mammals, Amphibians, and Birds…oh my! Hang out with the endangered Mexican Spider Monkey. Gaze into the eyes of a bright yellow Eyelash Palm Pit Viper. Soar with a Snowy Owl. Or take it easy with the Two-toed Sloths. There are so many exhibits and habitats to explore at Nashville Zoo.

At the Unseen World exhibit you can see snakes, several species of frogs, and other amphibians alike. There’s also a huge aviary connected to Unseen World where you’ll encounter many rare and exotic birds!

Expedition Peru: Trek of the Andean Bear is the newest exhibit at Nashville Zoo. Here you can learn all about the Andean Bear like: what they eat, how they help their ecosystem, and how the Andean Bear could end up on the endangered species list.

Of course there are many other exhibits throughout the zoo like Flamingo Lagoon, Alligator Cove, Gibbon Islands –but did you know there’s also hands-on exhibits too!

Critter Encounters is a fun little space where you admire and pet personable animals. They have goats, turtles, alpacas and more! Then soar over to Lorikeet Landing, a second aviary at this zoo, where you can get up close and personal and feed the sweet little lorikeets.

Nashville Zoo also features attractions like their Jungle Gym, where kids can leap like a frog or monkey around on this 66,000 square foot playground! And for the daring at heart, make your way and ride the Soaring Eagle Zip Line.

The zoo is equipped with three food stops: Snake Bites and BBQ Depot, Zoofari Cafe, and Outpost Snack Bar. There are also two private rental spaces if you’re interested in hosting a party, event, or company outing.

There is no shortage of wonder as you explore your way through this 200 acre property! When looking for extended stay hotels near Nashville Zoo, consider Intown Suites. This long term stay hotel in Nashville is just a short 4 mile drive to the park.
