InTown Suites History

InTown Suites was founded in Atlanta, Georgia in 1989 with just a few locations. Since that time, we have grown into the largest wholly owned economy extended stay in the country. Today, we have almost 200 locations in 22 states and more than 25,000 guest rooms. We employ over 1,500 people and take pride in providing outstanding value in a safe, clean and comfortable environment for guests and employees alike.

For over a quarter of a century, we have provided great value to our guests. Our apartment-style rooms offer a homey quality that competitors cannot match. It is this InTown experience that allows us to maintain industry-leading length of stay and occupancy.

In 2013, InTown was purchased by a leading private equity firm whose goals are to grow the brand, improve the product, and further enhance company performance. As part of these efforts, InTown added 54 additional locations.

Since 2014, InTown Suites has completed multiple renovation programs to continuously improve the guest experience. Additionally, InTown Suites has actively refreshed its brand, updating its logo and brand colors, as well as launching a formal Mission, Vision, & Values program and greatly enhanced employee training.

Uptown Suites was launched in 2017. This extended stay portfolio grew quickly to include 8 properties across 5 states. In 2020, the initial suite design was refreshed to maintain consistency  across all extended stay properties. Find out more about this brand here.

We are committed to constant improvement and will remain the industry leader by providing unmatched value and making every guest stay memorable with small gestures that make a big difference.
