InTown Suites was founded in Atlanta, Georgia in 1989 with just a few locations. Since that time, we have grown into the largest wholly owned economy extended stay in the country. Today, we have almost 200 locations in 22 states and more than 25,000 guest rooms. We employ over 1,500 people and take pride in providing outstanding value in a safe, clean and comfortable environment for guests and employees alike.
For over a quarter of a century, we have provided great value to our guests. Our apartment-style rooms offer a homey quality that competitors cannot match. It is this InTown experience that allows us to maintain industry-leading length of stay and occupancy.
In 2013, InTown was purchased by a leading private equity firm whose goals are to grow the brand, improve the product, and further enhance company performance. As part of these efforts, InTown has added 54 additional locations since 2014, and has enacted a Major Makeover renovation program.
Additionally, InTown Suites is actively refreshing the InTown brand. We’ve updated our logo, refreshed brand colors, launched a formal Mission, Vision, & Values program and greatly enhanced employee training.

InTown Suites was founded by David and Cheryl Vickers in 1989.
InTown Suites was purchased by Starwood Capital Group, a leading private equity firm, in 2012.
Large flat screen TVs and enhanced Wi-Fi were installed at nearly every location in 2014.
Long House Acquisition
InTown Suites acquired a portfolio of 50 U.S. economy extended stay locations.
InTown completely reconsidered and recreated its new logo and brand colors, launched a formal Mission/Vision/Values, and enhanced employee training.
All 188 properties in 22 states received new exterior and interior signage.
50 properties received a refresh with the new Mission/Vision/Values, interior and exterior signage, exterior paint, and landscaping to enhance curb appeal.
63 properties received private-labeled and upgraded bedding (exclusive At Home by InTown Suites Mattress®), appliances, and kitchen area. Other improvements include updated room lighting with USB connections, more storage, fresh paint, and new carpet and flooring.
