At InTown Suites Extended Stay, we’ve always made it our priority to offer a safe, comfortable, and clean environment to all our guests. Even before the global health crisis our country is facing, we have had our “Triple Checked Clean” cleaning process in place before new guests check into their rooms. As states and businesses open back up, we want to reassure you we are taking the necessary steps to continue to keep our guests safe and healthy.
In addition to sharing our Triple Checked Cleaning process with you, we’d also like to share some tips on staying safe during your travels.
When traveling to another state be aware of what their restrictions and mandated rules for visitors are. Some states require self-quarantine for two weeks, while others require masks to be worn in public spaces. Be sure to check the restricts and rules before traveling so that you are prepared and can help stop the spread of COVID.
If you plan to fly to your destination each airline has its own policies regarding the safety of its passengers. Regardless of the airline’s policies, it’s best practice to wear your mask during the entire flight to protect yourself and others. We highly recommend packing hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes to wipe down your seat, armrests, tray, and any other areas you may touch.
Are you road-tripping to your destination? If so consider these precautions while you are on the road.
Try to minimize your stops and when entering any gas stations or rest stops wear your mask, maintain a social distance of at least 6 feet, and wash your hands thoroughly. Pack extra hand sanitizer/spray and disinfectant wipes to wipe down anything you will need to touch while traveling.
When pumping your gas you can use disposable gloves to handle the pump but remember, once you have finished pumping your gas to dispose of your gloves before entering your car.
While traveling and exploring your destination, along with following the state’s guidelines and regulations, be mindful of area attractions and points of interest. If an area attraction is a big tourist destination or allows for crowds, you may consider skipping it.
If your destination of choice has beaches, parks, or any other outdoor attractions open to the public, be sure to social distance from others.
When dining, the safest route is to order delivery or pick-up from a local restaurant that offers those services. Remember that InTown Suites rooms come with a full kitchen and a free Shipt Grocery Delivery app trial, making cooking meals easy, convenient, and safe.
During our “Triple Checked Clean” process we use hospital-grade cleaning supplies to sanitize every room at each of our properties. Our housekeeping staff is trained to disinfect all surfaces, bathrooms, and floors within vacant suites. Once a room has been disinfected and cleaned, additional sanitizing is made to commonly used surfaces like light switches, door handles, etc. The last step in our “Triple Checked Clean” process is having three different team members inspect the room to make sure nothing was missed and to ensure our high level of cleaning standards are met.
Due to COVID-19, we have adapted new precautions and procedures to help combat the spread of the virus.
At our front desk, we have installed protective dividers to protect our guests and staff during check-in/check-out. We are allowing only one guest at a time to enter the lobby during the check-in and check-out process. For those waiting to be check-in/check-out or who may need assistance from our front desk staff, we ask to practice safe social distancing (whether that’s waiting in your car or keeping 6-feet from other individuals outside of our buildings).
In an effort to create a contactless experience, we are encouraging the use of our mobile-friendly online payment portal for guests to extend their stay without having to leave their room.
Hand sanitizer will be available at the front desk and common areas for guest use.
InTown Suites is requiring our staff to wear face coverings and gloves for our guests’ and employees’ protection. We ask that our guests wear masks when in common areas and when traveling outside of their suites.
The extra precautions we are taking are to ensure the health of our guests and staff. We would like to set a new high standard of cleanliness for extended stay hotels space while offering the best extended-stay value.
