From I-26 East: Take I-26 East and merge onto I-526 – Savannah. Follow I-526 to end, and turn right on Highway 17 (Savannah Highway). Our InTown Suites Highway 17 property is located approximately 0.5 miles on the right.
During the Civil War, Charleston was well protected which means that much of the cities architecture is historical. Many of the battle sites are now tourist attractions, including the popular Fort Sumter. Getting to Fort Sumter requires a 30 minute ferry ride, so it is really two attractions in one. If you enjoy golfing, there are many world class golf courses on the nearby Hilton Head Island. Southwest Charleston is home to magnificent sandy beaches, and the seafood in the area is to die for.
